8-Foot Bigfoot Crosses the Road in Connecticut: ‘I'm No Longer a Skeptic’
Kevin Klimas, a 45-year-old father from Rhode Island, was driving away from a remote cabin near Beach Pond in Voluntown, Connecticut, late on the night of 5th July when a bipedal creature roughly eight feet tall crossed the road in three strides directly in front of his car. Klimas described broad shoulders, long brown hair, and arms that reached to its knees, locking his doors and driving on rather than stopping for a second look. “This was not a bear. This was a cryptid. I'm no longer a skeptic,” he said afterwards.
Klimas submitted a formal report to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, whose investigators Mike Young and Matt Moneymaker followed up with phone interviews and a site visit before logging the encounter as credible. No photograph or footage exists to back up the account, leaving Klimas with only his own certainty. “I feel crazy saying it,” he admitted, “but I keep telling people you have to see it to believe it.”
Silent Orb Hovers Over Colorado for 15 Minutes – and the Pentagon Finally Releases the Footage
Newly declassified files from the US Department of War have revealed a striking law enforcement encounter with an unidentified aerial phenomenon over Colorado. According to the released records, an officer watched an “orb-like” object hang motionless roughly “300 feet off the ground” for around fifteen minutes before it drifted closer to his position. The officer managed to capture four separate clips on his mobile phone, footage later corroborated by radar checks that showed no conventional aircraft in the area at the time.
The clip is one of four the Pentagon released from Colorado law enforcement as part of its sixth batch of declassified UAP files, unveiled on 18th September alongside sixty-seven Department of Defense documents spanning 1952 to 2025 – including newly surfaced accounts of six small spherical objects filmed moving erratically over the Middle East, and a Cold War-era programme that once studied warp drives and antigravity as serious lines of research. Officials blurred portions of the footage to protect the witnesses' identities, but the object at the centre of the Colorado video was described only as moving in total silence, glowing with “red, blue, and green flashing lights.”

Missouri Town Turns Its Ghosts Into a Scavenger Hunt: ‘Generations of Stories, Legends and Unexplained Experiences’
The historic town of Independence, Missouri, has launched a free, self-guided “Paranormal Pursuit Passport,” inviting visitors to track down thirteen of its most storied haunted sites between now and 6th November. Stops include the Vaile Mansion, where the spirit of original owner Sophia Vaile is said to still peer from an upstairs window; the Bingham-Waggoner Estate, where staff report phantom footsteps and a spectral bride drifting down the main staircase; and the 1859 Jail, once home to outlaws Frank James and William Quantrill, where visitors describe sudden temperature drops and the apparition of a long-dead lawman.
Also on the route is Woodlawn Cemetery, resting place of Civil War soldiers and outlaw associates, home to the legend of the “Lady in Gray” – sightings limited, tellingly, to daylight hours. “Independence has an incredible history, and with that history come generations of stories, legends and unexplained experiences,” said Allison Calvin of Visit Independence of the initiative, which rewards participants with points and prizes for every site they check off.
Archaeologists Uncover Ditch of 77 Headless Skeletons in Slovakia – and Still Can't Explain Why
In the Slovak settlement of Vráble, archaeologists excavating a Stone Age ditch have uncovered the remains of at least 77 people – nearly all of them missing their skulls. Only one skeleton, belonging to a child, was found intact. Cut marks on the neck vertebrae show the heads were not hacked off in violence but carefully removed after death using sharp tools, according to researchers from Kiel University, who have spent over a decade studying the site since first excavating the ditch in 2022.
“First analyses suggest, above all, that violent ‘decapitations’ were not conducted here, but rather skilful removal of the skulls,” said biological anthropologist Katharina Fuchs, whose team dates the burials to between 5250 and 4950 BC. Colleague Nils Müller-Scheéßel suggested the practice pointed to something far more deliberate than a massacre: “The deposition of bodies and body parts may have been part of more complex, meaningful and recurring practices,” he said – leaving open the possibility of ancestor veneration or a belief about the skull as the seat of life that has been lost for seven thousand years.
